Release Notes - 4/25/17

Greetings, Captains!

This release includes a new time-limited campaign for the Alpha Behemoth. We’ve also improved the repair module of the Megaship and, to support Megaship construction, will be running a new version of the time-limited campaign, Hyperion Rising. We will re-run the Homeland TLC as well.

We’ve also begun the transition of replacing Draconian Mining Bases with Scourge Defense Grids for Base Parts.

Alpha Defense

This TLC is similar to the Above the Law campaign, featuring copied and modified player bases from our community. It will utilize a total of 9 different player bases. Note that all of the prizes have been previously offered.

Must be level 50 to participate.

Prizes

Run 1: 3 targets - Alpha Behemoth

Run 2: 3 targets - UAV Overdrive + 3x Alpha Behemoth 5000 VXP tokens

Run 3: 3 targets - Cesium Scarab UAV + 5x Alpha Behemoth 5000 VXP tokens + 8x 24 hour Alpha Behemoth Ship Build tokens.

Hyperion Rising

We’ve made an adjustment to Megaship modules. Previously, Megaship modules could not be refit/build/upgrade during bridge repair. We have changed this so that the Megaship menus are accessible during bridge repair. As such, we are running a new version of the Clash of the Titans to help players earn Megaship technology and tokens! Note that all of the prizes have been previously offered.

Start Date: Tuesday, April 25th at noon, PST

End Date: Monday, May 1st at noon, PST

You must own a Mega Ship to start the campaign

• Run through 1 (total of 1 encounter) - 3 hours

• Run through 2 (total of 2 encounters) - 1 hour

• Run through 3 - (total of 2 encounters) - 1 hour

Legion faction TLC - Homeland (Re-run)

Captains, another chance has arrived to take part in Homeland, the first faction campaign. Starting April 25th, defeat the Legionnaires to earn the Liberator: the first faction Conqueror-class hulls.

Runthroughs/Encounters: 3 runthroughs, progressing from 5 to 7 encounters. The final runthrough will be a Mastery round, and can be repeated up to 5 times.

For encounters 1-4 and 6, you can use anything except a PVP hull. Garrison fleets are highly recommended.

For encounter 5 and 7 you can use any hull, but we recommend using a Conqueror.

Tier 6 Conqueror hulls may participate in encounters 5 and 7.

Capacity for Liberators HAS NOT been increased.

Note that all of the prizes have been previously offered.

Run 1:

• SSKP Enhancement - turret special

• 2x 1-day structure build tokens

Run 2:

• Hyena Missile Turret

• 1x Liberator VXP token (25k VXP)

Run 3 (Mastery; repeat up to 5 times):

• 1x Liberator (Limited Legion Hull)

• 1x 6-day Liberator build token

Scourge Siege Targets

We’ve also begun the transition of replacing Draconian Mining Bases with Scourge Defense Grids for Base Parts. New targets will spawn along older targets for until 5/15, after which all Draconian Mining Bases will be replaced by Scourge Defense Grids. Like Draconian Mining Bases, these targets will be turned off during events. To help with this transition, we’ve increased the Base Parts payouts for these targets. In addition, Outpost 9 buildings can now be upgraded using Base Parts.

Bug Fixes & Tuning

• Fixed a bug where the Coldsnap visual effect was remaining present on ships after the actual effect had actually worn off.
