The Glowing Sea


Captains,

Rumors that a Lost Continent is hidden among an unknown sector called The Glowing Sea. The possibilities this land could provide has drawn the attention of all faction leaders. Our spies are tracking the Legion, the Draconians... even the elusive Scourge... all showing movement toward these coordinates. We must get there first and secure this land, if it exists.

Initial scans of this area reveal a toxic wasteland of radioactive water, corrosive clouds of noxious gas, and frequent electrical storms. Worse, it appears that the area is littered with scrap-salvaged Reaver flotillas, interlocked into huge Hellstar cities. Our communications experts are working to decode the Reaver frequency but one word has been plucked from their garbled comms... "Gutspill".

The time for caution has passed. If the other factions reach the Continent before the Forsaken, there is no telling what destruction could befall us. But, if we can plunder the technology and riches of this land, we may be able to secure the future of the Forsaken once and for all.

Good luck, Captains! The incursion into the Glowing Sea opens July 13th.

The Glowing Sea is the first event in the Reaver Revival event cycle. It features Assault targets designed for Assault-class ships such as the Apollo, Skyfire Carrier, and Phoenix.

The Glowing Sea begins july 13th at the following times in the following worlds:

World Alpha: 9AM PDT

World Beta: 10AM PDT

World Gamma: 11AM PDT

World Delta: 12PM PDT

World Epsilon: 1PM PDT

At the start of the event for each world, the following features will be disabled:

-- Relocation -- Sector Threat -- Base Parts targets -- Daily Campaigns -- Friends lists limited to 10

These features will become disabled at the start of the event for their respective worlds. For example, at 9am PST, relocation will be turned off in World Alpha but will be available for all other worlds. However, you cannot relocate to World Alpha once relocation has been turned off for that sector.

Goals Gutspill has ordered the Reaver flotillas together to form temporary Hellstar cities, made of scrap and protected by roving Reaver ships. Maneuver your Assault fleets to engage the Reaver drones while avoiding the toxic corrosive clouds that surround the seas. Engage Glowing Nav-Relays to teleport to the Reaver home-world. Targets

Glowing Nav-Relays are classified by Tier.

Targets are not cooperative.

  • “S” target (Tier 7)

  • Single target, level 100

  • Recommended: High-rank Phoenix and Skyfire Carrier fleets

  • Tier 6

  • Previously labeled “A set”

  • 3 targets in set (81, 83, 85)

  • Recommended: Phoenix and Skyfire Carriers

  • Tier 5

  • Previously labeled “B set”

  • 3 targets in set (61, 63, 65)

  • Recommended: Apollo/Zoe’s Apollo fleets

  • Tier 4

  • Previously labeled “C set”

  • 3 targets in set (41, 43, 45)

  • Recommended: Rhino fleets

  • Blitz Target

  • 10x Blitz Functionality

  • Level 84

  • Recommended: Phoenix/Skyfire Carrier

  • Blitz minimum of 5 gold

  • Level 69

  • Recommended: Apollo fleets

  • Hit down multiplier applies

  • Blitz minimum of 1 gold

Deep Freeze Campaigns

In addition to World Map targets, special campaigns are available that feature Cold War event cycle targets.

  • Garrison targets

  • B set:

  • 3 targets in set (61, 63, 65)

  • Recommended: Citadel/Punisher fleets

  • C set:

  • 3 targets in set (41, 43, 45)

  • Recommended: Citadel/Punisher fleets.

Point Payouts Per Target Each target is worth a maximum number of points, as noted below. Completing a set will award a completion bonuses.

Tier 4: 41 - 25,000 43 - 40,000 45 - 55,000 Tier bonus - 60,000 Tier 5: 61 - 130,000 63 - 190,000 65 - 280,000 Tier bonus - 300,000 Tier 6: 81 - 500,000 83 - 600,000 85 - 750,000 Tier bonus - 1,850,000 Tier 7: 100 - 2,250,000 Tier bonus - 2,250,000

  • You can track your completion progress in the Event modal.

  • Defeating a target will mark the completion in the modal.

  • Continuous target completions will count towards future set completions.

  • Once a set is complete, the modal will clear and reset with previously completed targets marked in the modal.

  • Hitting targets that are below your recommended level will result in fewer points. This does not affect the completion bonus for a finishing a set.

  • Use the Locator to find targets of all Sets or specific Sets.

Uranium Sector Threat will not be enabled during the event however you may earn Uranium by reaching certain points thresholds.

Zoe's Man-O-War A level 99 target that begins spawning on Saturday will also have a Uranium payout (~42k) upon completion. This target is not worth any event points but may be completed for a Uranium payout. This target will begin spawning on Saturday at noon and continue to regularly spawn hourly throughout the rest of the event. These targets will spawn near Nav Relay towers.

Prize List

In order to earn a prize from a Tier, you must own a prize from the previous tier. Ergo, you cannot earn the Switchblade Anti-Missile or Edge Missile without first owning either the Counter-Missile Extender or the Pneumatic Launch Actuator, etc.
